Like, come on, let's look at Amy. Okay, we're starting.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01We're starting.
SPEAKER_00I get blurry face. Talking over the fucking Ooh, you said the F bomb already.
SPEAKER_01Now I gotta deal with that. Dan fever. It's a Dan Fever Podcast. Hi, everybody.
SPEAKER_00Hello. Hi.
SPEAKER_01We're doing another one of these. I haven't posted them on Facebook yet. I'll have to get the other one and this one on Facebook. What's that? So I'm sorry. Nice. The previous one? I never missed an episode of ours.
SPEAKER_00It wasn't on Facebook. Yeah, you posted it on something else.
SPEAKER_01I didn't post anything. I just have to put I'll put the next two episodes on the phone.
SPEAKER_00What are we doing here?
SPEAKER_01I'm just trying. So we got uh the choir concert coming up for the community choir.
SPEAKER_03Community choirs.
SPEAKER_01And they're doing they're doing what, four songs because they're all 12 minutes long? Is that right? Not true.
SPEAKER_02They're uh we're doing uh we're doing about 17? 17 12, maybe?
SPEAKER_00I know there's some tap dancing in there too.
SPEAKER_02Could be nine. Yeah, there's two choreography.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, choreography.
SPEAKER_02It's not swing choir, so's the hoofers. Well, I know a gentleman by the name of Brian Frazier who's tapping. Yeah. Tap dancing. Um and then he's not the one that's think it's Nataline, Dakota. That's true, those two.
SPEAKER_00And what's her name?
SPEAKER_02Yep, that one too.
SPEAKER_01So everyone under everyone under 35. Right. Judy. Judy's tapping. Who? Oh, Judy's Judy's not understanding. Judy's tapping too. Oh no, she is under 35, right? Just in case she listens. She is under 50. Yeah, she is. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We're all under 35. Right.
SPEAKER_01Right. So yeah. You got all these songs. You got eight songs.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we got eight. It's so it it's either it's between eight and seventeen. But directed by Judy Hine. Okay. Yep. All right. This should be a bunch of great songs. Great songs. Stairway to Heaven, we're going to be doing.
SPEAKER_01Isn't John is it John Doberant, he says, dancing? No.
SPEAKER_00No, no. He's not a part of it at all. Yeah, I thought everyone has some stuff to do.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Don't they?
SPEAKER_02Um yeah. I mean, we're going to be doing some something else. In sync stuff. And it's interesting.
SPEAKER_01Are they done with the Stanley Cup?
SPEAKER_00They are not done with the Stanley Cup. It is just starting.
SPEAKER_01Just starting?
SPEAKER_00They just got through the playoffs last night. The Oilers beat Dallas Stars. So the Stanley Cup. Am I doing sports now?
SPEAKER_01No, you're not. Okay. I just wanted to find out because it's been pissing me off. It's funny. When does hockey start? Like tomorrow, and then it ends tomorrow? In summer. Because it seems like it goes on.
SPEAKER_00They get a little break.
SPEAKER_01Okay. They play a lot. It's weird. Isn't it weird to have though hockey in June? It is for me. It throws me up. Wasn't it like only four months back in the like 60s or something? Didn't they have just go like that? I thought it was a quick season, yeah.
SPEAKER_00You got paralyzed and half killed back in the day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there were no teeth involved in the game back then. The Tental Program.
SPEAKER_00Eating pucks and slicing necks.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was a lot of gumming. So uh how did you guys spend your memorial? Because my Memorial Day, I spent it there. Uh one of the covers fell off on the side of my house, and I went up there and there was a bird's nest in there. And I thought it was gonna take me two hours to blow it out and to just go. I tried. It wouldn't come. It was so sturdy. I blew I blew from the inside. I blew from the outside, Rick. I tried to I had to stick the It's a lot of blowing. So I I'm telling you. So I started I got my ladder to to at 11 o'clock in the morning and I didn't stop. No stopping. I stopped for a quick sit and a lunch till seven o'clock at night. I was trying to, it went so deep. I thought it was just gonna be at the surface. I thought it was gonna be at the surface, and the nest went way back. There was eggs and a nest, so I had to blow no.
SPEAKER_00You didn't kill all of them, did you?
SPEAKER_01Of course I did. No one they were in my thing. So I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_02Listen, so I went from the fuck to blow.
SPEAKER_00That's just now you're just another dick.
SPEAKER_01We're talking about the shop back. Well, yeah, the shop back, I know.
SPEAKER_00Sure, sure.
SPEAKER_01So I went. So I went and I I had to get a hook and stuff to go because it was further than six feet back, and my arm length was.
SPEAKER_00Is it just like in your vent for your dryer? No, no.
SPEAKER_01What's happening? It's it's uh it's one of the vents for like for like the uh fan for the bathroom kind of thing for my thing. So I had to go to the I went to Minar's and I got a stick and then I got a hook to screw into it, like just a broom handle. Yeah, and I went out and I screwed them like, yeah, and I'm scooping all this stuff out. I'm like, up yours, birds. And I took a light and I flashed it in there, and then there was still more further back, further than 10 feet back. So I went and got a hook, uh, one of those lines, you know, for like cable. And I went back and I hooked out what I could. I'm like, yeah, and I got a nice bunch. Then I got that. I was the whole thing, Rick. I'm on a ladder. And uh Kelly's got a video. Kelly's got a video of me. I had to get my shop vac up the ladder, and you know, I have that antenna back there that goes up. So I took a bunch of uh of uh one of those twist tie things, you know, that you use for tools, and I hooked my I hooked my shop vac on the antenna and I got a big long hose and I shoved it all the way back there, and I turned it on and it was and I'm like, okay, it's just so then I pulled it out, whatever I could, and it was well built, that damn nest. They must have been doing it for six months because I do it well in the spring, especially. Oh, those those nests can be thick. I spent freaking all my memorial day doing that. So then I went and got a regular vent cover, I put it on, and it had one of those slide-outs. Remember, you came over and saw it. It was a little thing. So I'm like, cool. So I slid it on and I I got down and I flipped the bird, the birds, I flipped the bird to the birds, and I left. I'm like, cool. So I came, I came around to check on it, and they had figured out how to take the vent off. The little grill, and they were in there, and then they flew out. What? He flew out. A big bird flew out of the thing. I'm like, God dang it. So I went up there, I climbed up the antenna thing. Climbed up the antenna thing, put a little piece of uh electrical tape on it, and I uh uh uh taped it shut. I'm like, yeah, up yours, birds. And then the next day I was still on there, I went to work, came back. They had picked the tape off and pulled the grill off again. Ah I'm shocked. So then I uh whoa. So then Rick, I I'll listen to you because Amy's not on the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Clearly. So then I uh duct taped a shut and it's been shut ever since. So whatever's in there is either dead, and I looked up how long it takes birds to die, and I it's horrible. I know, it's awful. It's terrible. But I they're in there, Ames. They're they scurry around. They scurry. So there is a metal cover you can put on there.
SPEAKER_02I I can show you. There's a metal cover you can put on there. I'm sure there is. But it's I think we got it.
SPEAKER_01But this is more fun if you're so I had uh yeah, I pulled my uh the I think the best thing where I had where I had gone over the edge was when I had uh twist tied my shop fact to uh about eight feet up in the air, along with the hose. And I had my hat on and I had my apron on. I looked like an accident happening.
SPEAKER_00I had a I was gonna say, did you fall? Because that would be funny.
SPEAKER_01I gotta see these uh I gotta see these pictures. Dance fall. That's funny.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that pulse said on Instagram and TikTok then, because that would be hilarious.
SPEAKER_01So and then I have a little I have a little happy story to tell you too here, too. So there was uh so this couple in Australia, listen to this. So this couple in Australia, they were uh they were it's an Australia, Rick. Right. Right, and they were at Kangaroo, they were at Kangaroo National Park in Australia. Right. They had a little dog with them named Sophia, little black terrier, and they lost her at the park. And uh they looked for her, they looked for her for like two or three days, and uh they couldn't find her. So they wrote her off and they had to leave and Sophia all alone.
SPEAKER_00They left.
SPEAKER_01They they left, they couldn't find people.
SPEAKER_00The anti-animals tonight. Like, what is happening?
SPEAKER_01What is there, like 12 venomous snakes in Australia or something like this? Yeah, that dog's dead. Too many. You want to miss so they figured that he was he was gone. Oh, yeah. So they left and they didn't think anything about it. A year later, this lady was out uh taking pictures, and they she caught a picture of the dog. Oh the terrier. So this is a year later, right? A year later. Year later. Same one, uh, we think. So they sent the picture, they sent the picture to the the couple, and they don't know how it survived. And they said, Yes, that's her. So they flew there. Uh they said, wait, let us let us try to find it again to make sure this isn't a hoax. So for two months, they were trying to find this dog again just to make sure. And they tried food and snacks, and it was all taken by other, you know, animals and stuff. They tried traps with, you know, his treats and toys, and they brought sent them his toys. They were getting like possums and a kangaroo, and they weren't getting the dog. So finally, they had to create this this little house where they had automatic, like they could look at the cameras and open and close the doors and stuff. And this is uh they they and they finally saw it and they pushed the thing shut and they finally caught the dog. And they don't know how he survived for the last uh year out and a year, all out by the time.
SPEAKER_0073 dangerous snakes, and you know, heat and like he needs water and dingoes, he bought dingoes.
SPEAKER_01How does he not know how he survived? He's actually, they weighed him and they said that he was heavier than he was. So he's eating something.
SPEAKER_00Someone's feeding it or something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So probably the Aborigines.
SPEAKER_01So yeah. Yeah, I fed him. They probably fed him. Do not know why, uh, but he survived. Wow, that's amazing. I wouldn't. No, no, I would not survive a week. I think that a snake like opened its jaws and sucked it up and crushed it. Oh, I thought that should be pleasant.
SPEAKER_00Stupid snakes.
SPEAKER_01I would have uh Wow. I think I would have uh uh died in about 15, 20 minutes. Yeah if you let me alone. I think so too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You guys, why why is everything so hard?
SPEAKER_02We don't even go camping unless there's a quick trip within 20 minutes drive.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you gotta have the quick trip coffee, man. Yeah, coffee, bathroom.
unknownOh god.
SPEAKER_02Nope. Cheesy um, Gene and I will not use a pit toilet ever again. Oh my god. Even an emergency, man. I will nope.
SPEAKER_00Well, Rick wouldn't go to the bathroom.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm not going to the pit toilet. Not worth it. Nope.
SPEAKER_00I'm driving home to go to the bathroom.
SPEAKER_01Yep. All right. Here we go.
SPEAKER_00Oh, now we're going.
SPEAKER_01And here we go. So, Henry Latour, this is a story about I try to find stories that are uh before 1980 because everything that's after 1980 is done. I mean, everybody's recorded on it. So this is a older this is I go for older stories here. This is stuff that people forgot about. This is about uh Henry Latour, who uh was to France what Sherlock Holmes had been to England, except for Henry Latour was real. All right, he was a real life detective who seemed to always get his man. So, so respected was he that Latour uh he lived, he was a legend. So if the legend has to be enhanced a little bit or embellished in the years since his death, no amount of truth stretching could be more remarkable than the hard cold facts surrounding his last case. Hmm. Master Sleuth, Henry Latour, was called to the scene of a crime. A suspect had already been taken into custody. Instinctively, uh, the super sleuth Latour said, nope, the authorities had arrested the wrong man. And said, How can he be so certain? The police wanted to know. It was a matter of simple deduction, Henry said. The detective assured them that pieces were missing from the puzzle. Uh, and Latour would find the pieces. He would unravel, entangle the clues, and he, Latour, would lead them to the true criminal. Oh. So began what some described as the most brilliant trackdown in the history of France, at least before 1980, right? Carefully, Latour assembled the fragmented evidence, one piece and one step at a time. He was uh it was a quite a heinous crime as well, which Latour was investigating, and somewhere in the darkened pathways of a complex maze and a peculiarly heinous criminal awaited. An elderly couple had been robbed, brutally murdered, and citizens from behind their uh they were locked behind their doors, uh, were comforted to hear that Latour was on the case and that Latour was closing in. Uh one day it would be uh uh maybe it would be uh a trace of blood on a scarf, and the next a chip uh of knife steel extracted from a human bone. And then days became weeks, and until enough evidence was accumulated to clear the suspect who was in custody, the proof was positive, declared Detective Latour. The man the police had apprehended must now be set free. Shouldn't he be held a little while longer? The authorities asked just in case, and just in case the master sleuth for the first time could be wrong. But Latour was not wrong. He assured them again that an innocent man had been charged, and no innocent man should be forced to pay for the crimes of the guilty. And so the search continued, and more evidence was gathered, one piece after painful one piece, slowly at a time. And perhaps now it was a torn patch of tweed or smudge on a railing, but Latour was closing in. And then one day the search ended. The puzzle pieces had all fallen into place, and at the end of a long road, a long and arduous journey, Latour found his man. The trial was not a lengthy one, for the case was ironclad. Latour was on hand personally to re-weave the amazing web for the jury, and the verdict was guilty. The judge commended Latour for his tireless effort for his brilliant detective work, and the newspapers applauded. But with that verdict, abruptly, without explanation, Latour retired and went into seclusion. And everyone agreed that that last trackdown had been his greatest triumph. Yet, the Sherlock Holmes of Paris would live the final 25 years of his life as a hermit, as a recluse in a lonely little college on a remote French village. And only after his death would the carefully guarded secret come to light. An admiring nation learned the whole truth about Latour's last case. For the innocent stranger whom Latour had set free was alas, but an innocent stranger he had set him free. When the last piece of the puzzle was in place, the dedicated detective was himself trapped by his own uncompromising sense of justice. For he had been let's see, what did he say? For he had been then oh shit. He had then for he had by then been led by the evidence he had so arduously collected to the arrest and conviction of his own son.
SPEAKER_00I know the answer.
SPEAKER_01You knew the answer?
SPEAKER_00Who is the Pink Panther?
SPEAKER_01Right?
SPEAKER_00The French detective.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that would be a good one. That'd be a good one.
SPEAKER_00That's very good.
SPEAKER_01I saw that and I'm like, let's see. Alright, so here's another little mystery here, and this is actually fact. This is one that everyone forgets about. It's called Remember the Main, which was a ship. Remember the Maine. The Maine was a United States battleship that got us into the Spanish-American War. All right, not by the damage it did, but by the damage that was done to it. Okay? So it didn't do it, it wasn't a big thing, but it got blown up. And when the news screamed that the Spanish mine, there was a Spanish mine that had sunk our ship in Havana Harbor, Havana was just built, the now famous war cry would be uh began to hurl us into war with Spain. It says, Remember the Maine. All right. So at 9 40 p.m. on February 15th, 1898, this goes way back, American Battleship Maine exploded in the harbor of Havana, Cuba. All right. There were 354 officers and men aboard, 268 lost their lives, and the 300-foot vessel had been moored at the same spots as it had been there since uh late January. And her purpose had been to defend the American interest during the Civil War that Cuba was fighting against Spain at that time. Remember that? So when news reached the mainland that the Spanish mine had dumped the Maine into Havana Harbor, the United States became actively involved. In six weeks, war was declared. And Remember the Maine was the battle cry of that war. And how dare they sink their ship? And Remember the Maine, we cried as we went to war. And the data concerning the incident will turn up for Admiral H.G. Rickover. How are you doing, Rick? Hey! All right. And to r and uh and to representatives of the Taylor uh Naval Ship Research and Development Center and the Naval Service Weapons Center. All right. So they gotta they gotta look at this info. So now you're gonna have to be patient with me a little bit why I I go off on a tangent here with the findings of this. So they they had three uh separate examinations of the wreckage, and it's important to know this, all right? One examination was uh performed in connection with the 1898 uh United States uh court uh of inquiry, all right. A second one was performed by Spanish divers also in 1898, and the third was performed in connection with the 1911 Board of Inspection and Survey.
unknownExcuse me.
SPEAKER_01And the direction of uh the description of the wreckage contained in the 1898 Court of Inquiry report was obtained basically from a diver inspections uh in the muddy water. And they have a lot of good equipment back then. And the Spanish divers who investigated the Maine the same year were even more handicapped because they knew less about the ship's construction. So now we're at 1911. Following me? So a little bit of time. So the Board of Inspection and Survey report, the Maine had been submerged for 13 years at that time. All right, and during those 13 years, various savage uh salvage operations had been carried out, but when they inspected the ship in 1911, it would be in the open air. Oh. Because the coffer dam was built and the main was dewatered.
SPEAKER_00Well, that helps.
SPEAKER_01So all the ones. So that's cool. All right, every bit of the wreckage was uh uh accurately identified. The displacements were measured, and photographs were taken. Uh, and despite the time lapse between the explosion and the 1911 expension uh inspection, contemporary studies by the Naval RD Center and the Surface Weapons Center are based on the 1911 data. And these data properly and carefully studied are significantly revealing. The statements in the 1911 report describing the wreckage and the photographs and sketches of the wreckage are generally uh consent, uh generally consistent with one of with one another, all right? So the photographs were taken as the dewatering progressed and the wreckage was dismantled. In some cases, material was moved uh an interval between the pictures, and this was taken uh into account in the interpretation of the photographs that were in there. Now, I know it seems like a lot of information here, okay? Uh it seems like we're being a little careful here, but uh but to document this most recent study of the main, which is a 1915. But when you hear the conclusion of the report, you understand why it's important that we're certain about this. The new this new revelation about our war with Spain uh may go mainly against the the grain of what everybody's saying here, okay? But Admiral Rickover had confirmed his embarrassing theory. This is an embarrassing theory with irrefutable fact. For when the experts now observe the photographs of the wreckage with the hull sides and the whole deck structures peeled back, it leaves no doubt. The explosion that sank our ship and catapulted us into the uh Spanish-American War was caused by a blast from 20,000 pounds of powder from inside the boat. Dums. Oops see I read that.
SPEAKER_00Who was smoking next to the powder kegs, you idiots?
SPEAKER_01We got into a war and it was our fault.
SPEAKER_02Hey, I mean nice. I would expect to hear that nowadays, but yeah, yeah. It doesn't really sound that you know familiar, but that was gravy.
SPEAKER_01I would have admitted that. Oh my god. I could not believe that. I'm like, okay, you guys gotta hear this. This is pretty damn. So you started it. They started it themselves.
SPEAKER_00They had their own war going on, and then we thing down there.
SPEAKER_01Whoops, they didn't then they were actually our friends. Sorry, Spanish.
SPEAKER_00There's no Spanish debris or Spanish in our home. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. We got the Louisiana purchase from them. We uh they also kind of started the pirates with their sinking cargo, uh, starting the whole thing. That was all their money that was lost. I mean, yeah. So there you go. Cool paints.
SPEAKER_00Sports hammer spots. We do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh. Nice. This is exciting. I wonder what's coming up. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00NF NHL.
SPEAKER_02NHL.
SPEAKER_00As we said in the beginning of the podcast, we are now having Heading into the Stanley Cup.
SPEAKER_02Just now.
SPEAKER_00Just yes. The Panthers and the Oilers. The Oilers, the Panthers went in like a couple days ago. The Oilers just won last night against the Dallas Stars.
SPEAKER_02So they've been playing this season for about a year and a half.
SPEAKER_00But and then it's the Panthers and the Oilers again.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Last time the Panthers won. So Oilers have a vendetta. I'm going with the Oilers. So it starts June 4th, 7 o'clock at Edmonton. Best of seven. That's what everybody was wondering.
SPEAKER_01Best of seven. Best of seven. I was curious. Those guys gotta be in shape. And that locker. It's gotta stink. Oh, it smells like hell, I'm sure. Oh my god. Hockey players.
SPEAKER_02Ever sit behind the glass? Oh, I know. Hockey game. Oh man. Some of those guys really don't.
SPEAKER_00Oh a faux show.
SPEAKER_02They probably do it on purpose to bad luck if you change your size.
SPEAKER_00See their warm-ups though? Do you ever see them warming up with the hip circles and the no?
SPEAKER_02No, I've never really had it. Never paid that close attention.
SPEAKER_01Amy's our hockey girl. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right. And then to some NFL. Obviously, lots of trading and things going on, contracts being signed, blah, blah, blah. Packers training cap has kind of started. Like they're having mini camps. Family night is August 2nd. Oh, big deal.
SPEAKER_03Big deal there.
SPEAKER_00The other thing in the NFL I was gonna like we talked about last time about the whole like the draft and if how like how much money you get if you're a first round draft pick or if you're a right, right, right. So the Browns finally signed Sanders because that was the big, you know. Yeah. So he went the fifth round. They signed him to a four-year, four point six million dollar contract.
SPEAKER_02He still got four point six million?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for going in the fifth round. They the Browns drafted a defensive tackle, Mason Graham, in the first round. He got a four-year contract for 40 million. Oh so that's your difference. 40 million? Say that again. I just four million.
SPEAKER_01So first draft gets 40 million.
SPEAKER_00If you get drafted in the first round, you're gonna, you're if you get signed, it's gonna be more like 40 million. Gets four. He went in the he got drafted in the fifth round. They finally signed him. And like, yeah, he gets four point six.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Which round was that? Sixth?
SPEAKER_00Fifth round.
SPEAKER_02Fifth round. Wow.
SPEAKER_00He went to the fifth round. So there's a little that's probably why he's so mad.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'd be a little upset.
SPEAKER_00But again, lots of teams weren't picking quarterbacks either. It wasn't the year for quarterbacks. And that one came with a yeah, that came with a little extra asterisk. Yeah. Like a little extra drunk. I'm not dead. Because his dad is his dad is Deion Sanders. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00So like his dad coached him in Colorado and all that.
SPEAKER_02So is he going to be pushy? Oh, yeah. He'll be, you know, football dad and probably. Of course he will.
SPEAKER_00Um 40 million. 40 million versus four. So yeah, okay. Next Brewers. Um Yelish had a first walk-off grand slam home run to win the game a couple days ago. That was awesome. That was awesome. I wish I was at that game.
SPEAKER_01No doubt. Have you looked at Yelish when he's standing up there? He looks like a goofy string bean. Totally. He looks like he holds his butt. I'm like, what the hell is that guy? He does not have a big thing.
SPEAKER_00Power's in the hips, Dan. Power's in the hips.
SPEAKER_02Amy's watching hips.
SPEAKER_00Come on, man.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how he could hit a home run. He's like a home run machine. It does not look like a physics and brain. Gotta be. Gotta be.
SPEAKER_00It's in the hips. Power is happy.
SPEAKER_02Gotta be his hips. Yeah. I guess.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, right now Milwaukee, uh, they're playing right now, actually. Um they're right now in third place in the central. I mean, you know, weren't they at the bottom for a moment? No, no, we were like in second place.
SPEAKER_02They didn't do they went 0-4 to begin the season. Yeah, that doesn't know.
SPEAKER_00Well, we want to we want to be gelling after the all-star game anyway. It's all good. Cubs are in first place, St. Louis. Cardinals are in second. Boo. I still want my revenge for 1982 World Series. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That goes back away, though. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00There's always that vendetta.
SPEAKER_02Yep, I remember that.
SPEAKER_00All right. And then um, so I was asked to find some new ballpark food.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Some weird ballpark stuff.
SPEAKER_01There's gotta be new stuff.
SPEAKER_00I mean people forget about that when it's I got 10, but I don't know if I want to do all ten because I got a couple other things. Not me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you do, you pick well, pick out the ones that you like.
SPEAKER_00Okay. The first one I would try. Um, Philadelphia Phillies, they have s'mores quesadillas.
SPEAKER_01Oh, what's in that? Stop. Did we know?
SPEAKER_00What's in that?
SPEAKER_01S'mores. I'll look it up. Okay, thank you.
SPEAKER_00Graham crackers, marshmallow chocolate in a quesadilla.
SPEAKER_02Oh God, that's fantastic.
SPEAKER_01So it's like a little, it's like a little sandwich, right?
SPEAKER_00Kind of. It's almost like a crepe, except it's in a tortilla instead of a French.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Uh the second one, Daddy McDogg, Houston Astros. So this is a hot dog, foot-long macaroni and cheese, barbecue sauce, crispy dill pickle, chopped brisket.
SPEAKER_02Um I know I would eat that as well. I'm not finding anything too offensive here.
SPEAKER_00So from this one looks gross, but it doesn't sound too bad. It's uh corndog Seattle Mariners. It's called the What's Up Corn Dog. Uh but it's green. The outside of it is green. Ugh. Yeah. Because I guess it's the mariners.
SPEAKER_01Green and blue unless it's lettuce.
SPEAKER_00So it's honey battered dunked in nacho cheese and coated in a spicy crunch.
SPEAKER_02Oh corn dog in the middle. Yeah, like dipped in uh nacho cheese. Every one of these so far. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Honey battered, yeah. Honey battered corn dog dipped in nacho cheese and coated with a spicy crunch.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00These, I don't know if I'd try this. It's uh Pittsburgh Pirates have the Polish cannonball.
SPEAKER_01You know, just what I thought we were done with Polak jokes. Remember those from the early 80s?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. All right, so this one is uh the cannonballs are stuffed with um I don't know if I'd eat it. Egg noodles, which isn't bad. Kilbasa, cabbage, bacon, cheddar cheese, and an herb cream dip. Formed into a ball.
SPEAKER_02Like in a ball form.
SPEAKER_00Like kielbasa, sure, cannon. Killbasa's good.
SPEAKER_02Cabbage, I'm not a big fan of.
SPEAKER_01Polish cannonballs.
SPEAKER_00Polish cannonballs.
SPEAKER_01Okay. That that that might that might be all right.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I I would try it. I just don't know if I'd be like, oh yeah, I want that for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because it's just like a gut, it would hit you right in the gut. Because it is a cannonball.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, rice. It's got the egg noodles and all that. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Egg noodles.
SPEAKER_00All right. The next Toronto Blue Jays, cotton candy fries.
SPEAKER_01Cotton candy. What are those?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I don't I'm not sure if I'd try it.
SPEAKER_01I've never liked cotton candy. Um, maybe I never got it. I like the stringies.
SPEAKER_00Oh the cotton candy itself, I like.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01I like French cards.
SPEAKER_00Melted sugar.
SPEAKER_01Mm-mm, it's kind of what it is, colored sugar.
SPEAKER_02You know what though?
SPEAKER_01I hear it when you get it in the bag. I like the presentation when they put the stick in. It was a big thing.
SPEAKER_02And then they curl it themselves or thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That kind of is cheap. I don't like the bag.
SPEAKER_02I don't like the bag.
SPEAKER_00This isn't really, I mean, it just says it's like buying a pillow or something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's French fries covered with cotton candy.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_00As well as blue caramel and creme and glaze.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I still would probably try it. Yeah, yeah. You gotta try all these now.
SPEAKER_00This one sounds good. Banana bread helmet banana bread pudding helmet, San Diego Padres.
SPEAKER_01And a helmet?
SPEAKER_00And a helmet.
SPEAKER_01Like a working helmet or just like a No, it's like a souvenir helmet. Oh, the small helmet.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but you get the banana bread pudding.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_00Those are the cream. Yeah. Whipped cream.
SPEAKER_01The weird one's good.
SPEAKER_00Banana, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The only other weird one that I would bring up was the Royal Blue Velvet Whoopee Pies.
SPEAKER_00That's the next one. Oh, it is whoopi a piece. I would end it on it.
SPEAKER_01That's that's that's it. Yeah whoopie pie. I'm looking at this.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01I love the names. Yeah. Whoopee pies. The whoopee pie.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Dessert Nachos. I don't know if that's really Roomstick Burrito, Texas Rangers. That's the last one.
SPEAKER_01Roomstick.
SPEAKER_00Oh my God. This is oh my lord, I would totally do this.
SPEAKER_01What is it?
SPEAKER_00Okay, 26-inch. 26 burrito.
SPEAKER_01So you just share it with everybody as you're part.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah, but it has like everything in it. Unrolled tortilla.
unknownOh my gosh.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. 26-inch guacet. Yeah, it has all the stuff. It's got guac, it's got nacho cheese, white cheese, hot sauce.
SPEAKER_01So everything that's bad for it.
SPEAKER_00Ooh. 26-inch burrito.
SPEAKER_02Where are we going to eat tonight? Oh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00We are going to the Texas Rangers Stadium.
SPEAKER_02I've had a burrito the size of my head. It's just a oh yeah. Remember that here are those? The burritos the size of your head? Yeah. Those are good. Those are good. Oh my God, those are so good.
SPEAKER_00And then two other quick things. Some college football news. I don't know why we're doing this, but Madison is taking on Alabama at Alabama on September 15th.
SPEAKER_01Alabama? I don't know why.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I don't know why.
SPEAKER_01That's where Buster's from is Alabama.
SPEAKER_00But like, why would we take that on? I like it. Do we want it?
SPEAKER_02No, we don't. I mean, that's going to be an kicking. Or not. They're going to kick us. Hopefully they don't. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Last year we played Alabama and we got our quarterback got hurt.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like Alabama is Alabama's top SEC. NFL school.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like they're a top college. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So they start the kids out of like in kindergarten at six years old. So that they're bone crunchers by the time they have.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, as long as you can tie your shoes, you can play for Alabama, I think. I don't think there's a lot of like can you you can talk too, but like this is I don't know why. Anyone from Alabama, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00And that's like, I don't know, why would you want that? Like that's not a how many lessons do we have to learn to not play Alabama?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, to another quarterback or two. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I Godspeed. Wow.
SPEAKER_02We just can't be gentlemen when we go down there. No, I don't want to watch that game. Oh, I am I wonder if there'll be tickets available though.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I'm sure for Alabama. No, I'm sure. And then one last thing I want to shout out um to a Tennessee Vols women's softball pitcher.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, Carolyn Pickens. She has now become the hardest thrower in the women's softball in college. So the average college girls' softball speed 58 to 65 miles per hour, she can throw and pitch 79.4 miles per hour. She just shattered like all records.
SPEAKER_01A softball?
SPEAKER_00Softball. Fast pitch softball.
SPEAKER_01Like under pitch, right? Okay.
SPEAKER_00No, it's like the mid-wheel. Like you have to whip it. Like you have to yeah.
SPEAKER_01And whip it good, I might add.
SPEAKER_00It's not slow pitch. It's fast pitch. But it's like, and then then the top division one girls, they they can top up to the mid-high 60s, and she's at 79.4. She just shattered a record. So props the Tennessee balls. I don't know, but apparently when I was reading the article, and at age 12, she was throwing at 60 miles an hour on a radar.
SPEAKER_01Oh, she's a natural.
SPEAKER_00She's just holy Moses.
SPEAKER_01I don't understand that.
SPEAKER_00Like, dang, girl.
SPEAKER_02You ever you ever see a softball? Those things are massive. They're huge. And they're not soft above. No, it's not a deceiving name. Should what hurt? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then you have to like do 79.4 miles per hour.
SPEAKER_02Oh my God.
SPEAKER_00And I know like that's not baseball. But like, dude, if you're only throwing 58 to 65 and she's wearing 79.4, I would never take baby.
SPEAKER_01You know, and I I've been watching once in a while I'll catch some of this stuff. Like, just to watch Caitlin Clark on video. Oh, yeah. This woman, anywhere in the court, she doesn't dunk. You give her the ball. She's like the Larry Bird of the C. Oh, yeah, she's the goat for that. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Everybody's trying to knock her out all the time. Even if you don't appreciate it, you gotta give her credit. Yeah, no, she's tough. She's tough.
SPEAKER_00Nice. So anyway, that's my shout-out to that.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's a good shout-out. That's a good shout.
SPEAKER_00That's all I got.
SPEAKER_01Ricky Rick. Hold on. We don't know what he'll do. I guess I could have said the Indy 500 72. Let me give you some music. Here you go. There you go, Rick. Oh, yeah. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen.
SPEAKER_00What happened to the lights?
SPEAKER_02We're gonna talk about hi, Amy.
SPEAKER_00I want to get out.
SPEAKER_02I have some very sexy news for everybody. Do you? That's not what I heard. You gave me the idea of looking up beer stuff. From the Yeah. I did look up that one thing, but. Did he what?
SPEAKER_00What was the name of the thing?

SPEAKER_02Yeah. Suck that thing out for four hours, he said.
SPEAKER_00No. It's a good sucker.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. On a ladder, no longer. Yeah, and on a ladder. Damn.
SPEAKER_00He blows and sucks.
SPEAKER_02So there is that's a shop back. Wow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, sure it is.
SPEAKER_02Licking hole Creek Craft Brewery. So they had uh I I was expecting more strange names from someplace called licking licking hole. They only had one or two. You didn't have to do that, but I was just saying I just saw it. Yeah. Yeah. I mean some of their things. Nuclear. Nougat. I was gonna say nugget.
SPEAKER_00You can't have licking hole and then have nuclear.
SPEAKER_02Nuclear nugget, right? A licking hole nuclear nugget.
SPEAKER_00It comes out of the licking hole.
SPEAKER_02Then they have an air apparent. They call it air apparent. A what? Air apparent stout. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Air apparent out of licking hole.
SPEAKER_02This one I like this one though. This one I'm gonna save this one as my favorite beer of theirs. It's from Licking Hole. Okay. I'll be back to that one. Nine mile IPA.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Virginia Black Bear. Very normal.
SPEAKER_00Where are these normal names? I don't know.

SPEAKER_00Well, if you can short pump, you don't have to lick the hole. Short pump. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_01You know, most folks don't know Amy like we do. She's way dirtier than Rick and I are.
SPEAKER_02No doubt. That's not true.
SPEAKER_03That is not true.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I'm my innocence has been ripped away here. Well, I'll say that you're probably the bravest of the three, right?
SPEAKER_00I mean, that's probably a little true.

SPEAKER_00Is there lights on now? I have to find out.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you want to know what it is?
SPEAKER_00Out of like the ten, that's the only one that's good.
SPEAKER_02You don't like the air apparent. Here, Belgian beer meets American and New Zealand hops. Not Amy hops, hops. They live happily ever after, named after the magic beaver pond on the farm's property. Magic beaver pond.
SPEAKER_00So it's a toxic waste pond?
SPEAKER_02It might be. It is in um Oh, it's in Oakland, Virginia. So it's not even it's American. It's totally American. Who else is gonna cause that? Now I have I have another list though of actual bizarre craft names.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, yeah, okay.
